This statement was made by Ibrahim while addressing the public meet at Chaulahiriyur on Wednesday. “Take the stack of currency given by Katta Subramanya Naidu without any second thought but do not fail to cast vote for Congress,” the Congressman said.

Ibrahim said that BJP is inviting leaders on basis of caste to take part in the campaign and are pouring lakhs or rupees for the election. “Take the money what they are giving but do not fail to tell BJP that electorate cannot be bought by money. To do so, you will have to cast your vote to Congress,” he said and added that JD(S) is just a name in Kadur constituency and hence it is not a threat at all. “BJP came to power in the State only because of JD(S). The behaviour of JD(S) is suspicious. Hence, we cannot predict what it will resort to in future,” Ibrahim said. Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah said that State government would have been bankrupt if Centre had not provided funds. However, he said that the State has yet failed to provide funds to GPs.

“CM Yeddyurappa had taken a wrong decision by banning liquor in the State. This decision had rendered several poor people jobless. Since the ban too has not been implemented completely, a poor man who used to have liquor at Rs 12 is spending about Rs 50 per day today,” he said.

KPCC President R V Deshpande, Leader Taradevi Siddharth, A N Mahesh, M L Murthy, candidate K M Kemparaju and others were present.
