Lidkar opposes Anti-cow Slaughter Bill
Even as the minorities and Dalit fora took out a torchlight protest to condemn the State Government's move to effect Anti-Cow Slaughter Act, the Institute of Leather Industries Lidkar Suppliers has also criticised the move saying it would render people in leather business, jobless.

In a press meet on Wednesday, Vijaykumar, secretary of the Institute said that lakhs of families are dependent on the leather industry for their livelihood across the State.
These families would be left high and dry if the Government implemented the Act. The Government should withdraw the Act, he urged.
He also urged the administration to revamp the general body of Babu Jagajeevan Ram High School and Trust and hand over the charge to Krishna, vice-president of the Trust and appoint new office-bearers to the forum.
