“Last month, I lodged a complaint against builder Yousuf Lakdawala, who threatened me to vacate my residence. Even after the FIR, stones were pelted at my house with a clear intention to harass me. Police should also probe the stone pelting incident and arrest those behind it,” the 68-year-old actress told reporters after meeting Police Commissioner Sanjeev Dayal.

BJP activist Shaina NC, who accompanied Sadhana, said they had also sought police protection for the actor since she was a senior citizen and stays alone.

“We will take necessary action against those involved in harassing Sadhana. She alleged that Lakdawala is harassing her. The matter is being probed,” Dayal said.

On August 13, the actress, known for roles in ‘Mera Saya’ and ‘Woh Kaun Thi’, lodged a  complaint against Lakdawala alleging him of issuing death threats to her and forcing her to vacate her 3,000 sq ft residence where she is living for over four decades.

The actress stays on the ground floor of the two-storeyed ‘Sangeeta’ bungalow owned by singer Asha Bhosle while Lakdawala stays on the second floor, police said. Another family stays on the first floor, they said.

The actor complained to them that water supply to her house had been irregular for a few days last month, after which she asked her secretary Flora to check the water tank on the terrace, Santa Cruz police said.

However, they said, Lakdawala’s family allegedly did not allow Flora to go to the terrace. Sadhana claimed she spoke about the matter to Lakdawala, who along with two others, argued, threatened and asked her to leave the place, they added.

The Santa Cruz police said Lakdwala was called for questioning a few days back but no arrests have been made so far.
