'Operation Kamala was unnecessary'

The BJP too adopted this strategy and there is no need to give special importance for it.
Speaking at the district- level party workers meeting here on Saturday, he said earlier, BJP was branded as the party of the upper caste but now its image has changed following representation to all communities. The BJP has been in power in Gujarat, Jharkhand and Karnataka. The party workers should explain achievements of the government to voters. The party which was lacking support at the grassroots level has now improved its position. A number of candidates have been elected for various local bodies.

District BJP President and MLC Prof R Mallikarjunappa, Dr B R Ambedkar Development Corporation Chairman A R Krishnamurthy, former MLA Parimala Nagappa, BJP leaders Ravishankar, Niranjankumar, Shivabasappa, Bangaraswamy and others were present.
On this occasion, the leaders adopted resolutions. The meeting condemned the Centre’s move to grant autonomy for Jammu and Kashmir and demanded to put an end to militancy in the valley. It also flayed Governor Hans Raj Bhardwaj  for forwarding the Anti-Cow Slaughter Bill to President Pratibha Patil, instead of he himself giving assent.
The meeting urged the government to give impetus to Kabini IInd stage project to release water from Kabini Reservoir to Chikkahole, Suvarnavathi and Amanikere tanks for irrigation purpose.

It wants the government to expedite industrial activities and establish industrial corridor at Kellamballi- Badanaguppe region for generation of employment and industries activities in the district.
