Soofiya Madani approaches court to relax bail condition

Kochi, Sept 20 (PTI):

Soofiya Madani, an accused in the burning of the Tamil Nadu state bus case in 2005, today approached the NIA court here seeking relaxation in her bail condition to vist her husband PDP leader, Abdul Nasser Madani, an accused in the Bangalore blast case, and now in custody with Karnataka police.

Soofiya filed the petition seeking permission to leave Ernakaulam district to meet madani at Bangalore.The NIA court had earlier relaxed her bail condition thrice to meet Madani at Kollam.

The petition has been posted to wednesday to hear the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which probed the kalamssery bus burning case and other terror related cases in the state.As per her bail condition Soofiya cannot leave the district wihtout the court's prior permission.

The bus was burnt on sept 9, 2005, to protest against Madani's continued imprisonment at the coimbatore jail in connection with the coimbatore blast case. Alleged LeT militant, T Nazeer, is among the accused in the case in which soofiya has been listed as the 10th accused.
