Restore water supply: Villagers demand

  Water from a borewell was supplied to the colony. But from the past 20 days  water is not being supplied as the motor of the bore well has become defunct. The residents are facing difficulty in fetching potful of water to meet daily needs, they complained.

The protesters also alleged that even though the problem is brought to the notice of the officials, no measures has been  taken to repair the motor, compelling the residents to lay seige to the grama panchayat office.

Krishnappa, who led the protest demanded the officers to take immediate steps to restore water supply for the colony.

The protest was withdrawn only when the GP secretary promised to take suitable measure to ensure regular water supply.
