121 nodal officers were assigned to 1212 polling booth as 1 officer for ten booths.
Forty two additional in-charge officers and a District level official was appointed for every Vidhana Sabha constituency.
These officials have already visited the houses in these region from December to the first week of January.
According to the figures given by them 1,15,096 voters have been identified. Of them 30,642 are deceased, 70,041 people have transferred and 2750 are repeats. 11,663 of them were absent from their residences during the inspection whose names were proposed to be removed from the list.
So 71,237 people who are identified as eligible voters should be included in the list according to the officials.
But the election commission who was dissatisfied with the list has asked the administration to rework the list between January 11 and the 20.
The official will be revisiting the houses and the public have been requested cooperate with them. The procedure is being undertaken to weed out the ineligible people from the voters list.
The eligible voters on the other hand are allowed to register their names in only one constituency and those whose names have been found more than one constituency are requested to apply to have them removed.
Even the voters with picture election cards will be scrutinised to ensure that there is no forgery of names and that only those who are eligible are included in the list. In case of a doubt the public is requested to contact 08152 222133 / 224926.
