OHIO University–Christ College Academy (OUCC) announces admission for OHIO University MBA Programme for the academic year 2008-10. The 21-month MBA Programme has 18 month long course work and an additional 3 months of professional development to hone the soft skills of the students in an attempt to make them industry ready. The full-time MBA programme is being offered at Christ College Campus, Bangalore.
All candidates with a degree from a recognised University and with a minimum of 55 per cent aggregate marks are eligible to apply. The OHIO-Christ Academy accepts valid scores from GMAT or MAT or CAT. The duly filled application form must reach the Academy Admissions Office on or before January 31, 2008 (Early Admission) or March 31, 2008 (Late Admission).
Short-listed candidates will be invited for Psychometric test and personal interview. The psychometric test will be an online test comprising career profiling, aptitude and language test. The interviews for early admissions cycle will be held in the month of February 2008, and those for late admissions cycle will be held in the month of March-April 2008.
Special Admissions Process for Working Executives
OHIO-Christ Academy has introduced a hassle-free procedure exclusively for candidates with a minimum of 20 months and above of relevant work-experience for its 2008 admissions. “Relevant” work-experience includes planning and execution of any of the functions such as Procurement, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Quality and Information Systems in corporate, NGO or government set up.
The new process, called “Special Executive Admission Process” (SEAP), is designed to the convenience of those who want to take a break from work and study further. Under this process, candidates with relevant work experience need not fill the application form in advance. They can now call up 099001-78096 and schedule the counselling sessions and meet with the counsellor with a Statement Of Purpose (SOP) and discuss their plans to enroll into MBA programme with Counsellors.
Candidates will be asked to fill the application form, take an aptitude test and personal interview only after they are fully satisfied with their decision to enroll. Test and interview will be conveniently scheduled to suit the needs of working executives. Successful candidates will receive admission offer with in a week’s time.
The 18-month MBA programme is spread across six academic quarters and includes a six-week internship, four-week International Business Consulting Project and an option of completing the final quarter of the course at Athens, in the OHIO University campus in the Unites States.
The aim of the three-month professional development Program is to assess, engage and enable the students of OUCCA to firm up their aspirations and facilitating the beginning of a successful career.
The programme comprises Personality Profiling, Identification of motivational factors and the primary anchors, Aspirations counselling and firming up destination, Sustained inputs on practicality in chosen destination through whitepapers and interaction with professional practitioners in given lines of aspiration and Soft skills training sessions
