Jain poets’ works lauded

Works such as Sri Ramacharitha by Jain poet Nagachandra and Padma Purana by Ravishena provides much proof for this, he added.
He was speaking at the week long lecture organised by Tiptur taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat here. Appreciating both as great works in Kannada Literature, he said that, these works have stressed on non-violence as main theme.
Advocate Shobha Jayadev presided over the function. Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat President T S Sadashivaiah was the chief guest of the function. S S Jayadev, Mahadevaiah, Jagadamba and others were present.
Free medical camp held
Sira, dhns: A free medical camp will held at the Sri Gurugubda Brahmeshwari Swamy School at Pattanayakanahalli on January 20. This was announced by the manager of the Sri kshetra.
The camp is being held under the joint aegis of the Health and Family welfare department, District doctors’s association and Sira Health department.
A team of doctors and medical experts will be conducting the camp and the people have been requested to take advantage of the facility being provided to them.
