Festivities will begin from Friday afternoon in which dignitaries from all corners of the State will take part.

The utsav will be inaugurated by litterateur De Javaregowda at the Government Junior College grounds. Month long celebrations will include various cultural activities.

Various cultural troops from across the State will   enthrall the people in the festival. The district utsav will also  prove as a platform for discussions related to various issues ranging from literature to economic development, said Deputy Commissioner S R Umashankar who is also the president of district festival committee.
