Dance feature
Shankuntala Nrityalaya, Bangalore and The Pallavi School of Performing Arts, Boston is presenting “Shivotsavam” on January 19 at 5.30 pm at the Shivaraatreeshwara Centre, JSS Education Centre, 1st Main, 8th Block, Jayanagar. “Shivotsavam” is a dance feature based on a two hundred year old tradition dedicated to Shiva as Lord Tyagaraja, the presiding deity of the Tiruvaroor temple, Tanjavoor district.

Dance festival
Sadhana Sangama Trust is organising a Children’s dance festival, Mukula-Yugala Nrityotsava from January 17 to 20 at Kuvempu Park Auditorium, Basaveshwaranagar. Troupes of well-known dance institutions from Karnataka and Bangalore are taking a part in this festival.

Bangalore Lalithakala Parishath is organising a one-man show, “Ooriya Uyyaale”, a Kannada play written by Dr H S Venkatesh Murthy and directed and enacted by Dr R T Rama.
