Rs 1 crore for rehabilitation
BBMP on Tuesday handed over a cheque of Rs 1 crore towards Beggars’ rehabilitation centre in Beggars’ Colony. The 3 per cent of property tax collected by Palike as beggary cess, should go towards rehabilitation centre. BBMP has released Rs 10 crore of its total due of Rs 31 crore.

Eco rally
Principal Chief Conservator of Forests A K Verma on Tuesday flagged off a bike rally to promote awareness on environmental problems and conservation. The 15-day rally, flagged off from Cubbon Park, will cover four southern states - Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.

SBI, KSBCL pact
State Bank of India, Bangalore circle has entered into an MoU with Karnataka State Beverages Corporation Ltd to provide electronic fund transfer facility for retailers. KSBCL Managing Director N Sivasailam and SBM General Manager Partha Bhattacharya signed the MoU.
