Delivering the inaugural address of the convention, KPCC President Mallikarjun Kharge assured that loans will be provided to the farming community at 3 per cent interest for their agricultural activities if the party comes back to the power in the state.
Lashing out at the former coalition Government Mr Kharge said that fake voters list was prepared during the 20 month rule of the JD(S) and BJP and urged the Election Commission to set right the list prior to the assembly polls.
He alleged that BJP is a party with caste politics unable to provide a stable and secular government. Corruption is the hall mark of the former coalition partners, he added.
Chairman of the Administrative Reforms Commission M Veerappa Moily said that the Forest Law will be amended to check on the insurgence and to solve the naxal menace in the State. Coming down heavily on the JDS-BJP alliance, he said that their ruling period witnessed most number of crimes taking place in the political history of the state.
Party Leader Janardhan Poojary urged Mr Kharge to include the assurance of providing rice at the rate of Rs 2/ kg to the BPL card holders, in the party manifesto for the assembly polls.
