Zilla Panchayat President Sucharitha Shetty laid foundation stone for the construction of an auditorium at the ZP office premises here on Monday.
The basement of the auditorium will be 500 square metres with parking facilities. The ground floor will be 635 square metres with an auditorium with seating capacity of 200. The auditorium will be 480 square metres.
Apart from this, it will have rest room and toilets. The first floor will be 505 square metre and will have a seating capacity of 150.
The estimated cost of the auditorium is Rs 200 lakh. A sum of Rs 155 lakh has been approved.
The work on the mini hall and retaining wall on the basement will be undertaken in the second stage.
