BJP Taluk unit members staged a symbolic Rasta Roko on Monday demanding the Governor to announce the reservations for local governing bodies. The protesters blocked the entrance of the bus stop and shouted out slogans against the Government.
BJP District Committee Member Malige Chandrashekar said that Governor’s rule here is an example of the disaster that occurs when democracy is handed over to bureaucrats.
He said that even after four months of the elections, the elected representatives are not in power yet and the funds that should have been released under the MLA and MP’s funds too have not been released.
