Speaking to media persons in Bangalore, Mr Kumaraswamy, who is recovering from a heart surgery he underwent, about a month ago, took a dig at BJP for joining hands with him for forming the coalition government.
“BJP has shown that it is ready to stoop to any level for the sake of power. Was BJP not aware before joining hands with me that I was corrupt?”, he questioned.
Asserting that he would bow to the verdict of people in the elections, Mr Kumaraswamy cautioned the public against BJP’s lust for power.
Mr Kumaraswamy chided Yeddyurappa for promising to give free electricity to farmers if BJP came to power. “It’s a blatant lie he is uttering. Why did he hesitate to waive off farmers loans when he was the deputy chief minister?”, he asked.
Further when Mr Yeddyurappa was asked to head a Cabinet Sub-Committee on power, he abdicated his responsibility and almost ran away from the meeting hall, he remarked.
Mr Kumaraswamy also flayed BJP leader Ananthkumar for stating that he (HDK) would become a full-time film producer after the coming Assembly elections.
