A young Polar Bear woke up from his sleep!
For global warming to be stopped The power is with you and me says TANVI NAIDU

As tiny snowflakes gently fell,
Upon the frozen ground,
A young Polar bear awoke from his sleep,
And gazed at the whiteness around.
His ashen fur was thick and smooth.
His body small but strong,
Today he began his journey through life
A journey both hard and long.
Beneath his mother's watchful eye,
He learnt to hunt and kill,
And how to keep himself alive,
In the cruel arctic chill.
Throughout his arduous childhood
His mother helped him surviv,
But a time had to come to bid goodbye
And soon this time did arrive,
With nothing but the snow in sight,
He began his life alone,
Braving hunger and weariness
And facing dangers unknown,
Forward he never ceased to march,
In the nest few years of his life;
Though the battles he fought were bloody and fierce
And he never found freedom from strife,
His heart was always full of zeal,
Despite the fatigue he felt,
And he stayed content and full of joy......
Until the ice began to melt!
It was a summer unlike any other before
That hit the land one day,
It made temperatures soar and it shattered the floes
On which the walruses lay.
The polar bear of which I spoke
Saw his hopes beginning to die,
As he swam through the sea
Waiting, in vain for a sheet of ice to flow by.
He felt his body giving up,
Unable to work anymore,
But he still had miles and miles to go,
To reach the distant shore.
Forlorn, exhausted and full of despair,
He was forced to breathe hislast breath,
Closing his eyes and with peace in his soul,
He surrendered to his death,
Do save the Polar ice before,
It melts into the sea,
For global warming to be stopped
The power is with you and me.
