Three persons have been convicted of murder charges and sentenced to death by the Fast Court of the city on Thursday.

Madhuranath, Rafiq alias Munna and Jayyanna, all residents of Anandapuram village are the three convicted. It was alleged that the trio murdered Mudhusudhan while the latter was carrying a cash of Rs 4 lakh. They later buried the body by beheading it in Nanditale forest area, in August 2005. The court has also slapped a fine of Rs. 35,000 on each of the convicted.
