* Boots are the king of footwear at all price levels, from thigh-high swashbuckling Robin Hoods to the tough-looking biker styles. And the ankle boot is clearly the queen of boots. From just touching the ankle to a few centimetres above, it gives a woman's leg a softer, more feminine look.
* Violently bright: Ah. The palette has turned bright with livid pinks, lurid yellows and deep shades. Use two or three shades in combination, to heighten the feeling of being drenched in colour.
*Tote bags that talk: Yep. Little purses or small tote bags with messages are the thing to sport.
 
NOT

* Naked earlobes ... or fingers, or wrists, come to that. 'It' jewellery has arrived on the fashion scene; don't leave home without some.
* Prescription-free glasses: Talk about mocking the myopic. Let's nip this trend right in the bud. And really, nothing looks more fake.
* Medallion necklaces: Ain’t it heavy? Necklaces with big pendants and fake pearls are so last year.  Instead, go for the dainty this season.
