Local institutions getting raw deal in budget allocation
DH News Service, Shidlaghatta:
Several local institutions are under the control of Congress and the budget allocations for such institutions are very meagre. This will be brought up in the cabinet said former minister and current MLA V Muniyappa.

He was speaking after inaugurating the civil works for the Rs160 lakh road construction under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana near Pedlavarahalli.

He complained that the funds released to GP and ZP are not sufficient.
For the permanent irrigation project Congress had released funds for aerial survey. But the current budget has not made any provision for the same he said.

He also complained about the assurance to provide free power supply to pump sets, alleging that the scheme at a time wen there is no efficient power supply is with an idea of installing the meter only. He called upon the farmers to protest such a scheme.

TP president Maula, vice president Saraswathamma, ZP members Muniyappa, Obalappa, PWD department assistant executive engineer Venkataswamy and others were present.
