Nehru Will Go To Summit For Peace
New Delhi, July 21.
Prime Minister Nehru, replying to Soviet Premier Khrushchev’s letter suggesting a conference of Heads of Governments to resolve the Middle East crisis, has said: “We shall gladly offer our services to it (conference) in the course of peace, if they are needed.”
Mr Nehru added: “If there is agreement about the holding of such a conference it should not be difficult to fix a suitable venue and at early date.”
English Top On Lang Convention
Hyderabad, July 20.
The Union Language Convention in Andhra Pradesh which concluded its two-day session here today, passed a resolution demanding that English should continue as the official language of India and that the Constitution of India should be amended accordingly. The convention was presided over by Mr Lakkaraju Subba Rao, former vice chancellor of Andhra University.

Moily To Take Up Issue With Centre
Mangalore, July 20.
Mr M Veerappa Moily, Opposition Leader in the Legislative Assembly, called upon the State Government and the people not to adopt an approach of confrontation and agitation on the Vijayanagar steel plant issue.
Mr Moily said in this connection, he was leaving for Delhi to discuss this matter with the Steel Minister. He was also leading a team of State MPs to expedite the work on the project, he added.
