Talk of Babas new avatar
DH News Service, Bangalore:
The Sai Baba miracle at Gavipuram here is taking a curious turn with devotees starting to talk about the arrival of a new avatar of Baba.

“Sathya Sai Baba had predicted earlier that his new incarnation will be Prem Sai. Probably this is an indication of Prem Sai’s arrival,” said Chandrashekhar, an accountant with a private firm, who had come from Kurubarahalli hearing about the miracle of Baba. Chandrashekhar’s wife too is of the same opinion that Prem Sai is now sure to arrive.

Babu was not available for comment on the latest belief of the devotees. But his relative Prasad, who was regulating the devotees at the entrance, said, “We don’t know about all these things. We cannot comment as it is a matter of faith. We have with us the idol of Sai Baba, which has opened its eye. People from a TV channel came to us and checked thoroughly and washed the eyes of Baba and finally agreed that it was a miracle.”

Rush continues

The rush of devotees in front of Babu’s residence is increasing day by day and so is the ‘dakshina,’ the offering to the Lord. Baba has also turned some unemployed youths into entrepreneurs, who chose to make some fast buck by selling Baba’s photographs. In just half-an-hour on Monday evening, nearly 20 people purchased the photographs from the youth.

The Bharat Jnana Vijnana Samithi, meanwhile, smelt a rat in the miracle. The Secretary F C Chega Reddy and Vice President E Basavaraju alleged that there was a conspiracy behind the ‘eye-opener Baba’ as people with vested interests wanted to make money by exploiting the blind faith of people. They demanded  a probe to ascertain the reality.
