Come August 2, Karen Mok will join Jared Leto of 30 Seconds to Mars in hosting the 6th annual MTV Asia Awards.
The show which gives recognition to the achievements of regional and international artists will be held at the Arena of Stars, Genting  — City of Entertainment, Malaysia.

Karen Mok is an accomplished actress and singer who has enjoyed phenomenal success in Asia for almost 15 years now. In 2003, Karen created waves in the music scene when she was crowned Best Female Singer in Taiwan’s prestigious Golden Melody Awards (the equivalent of the Grammy Awards in the Mandarin music market). The award-winning actress has also appeared in nearly 40 films since her foray into acting in 1994 including box office hits like Shaolin Soccer and The God of Cookery.

“I’m really excited to have the opportunity to host this year’s MTV Asia Awards and to celebrate the spirit and power of music with MTV and artists from around the world,” said Karen Mok.
