UPA Govt wins confidence vote 
The UPA government has won the vote of confidence in the Lok Sabha with a comfortable margin. The Prime Minister's motion expressing confidence of the house in the council of ministers was carried with 275 votes in favour and 256 against.
Convincing victory sends strong message to world, says PM
Prime Minister Manmohan singh described as "convincing" his government's victory in the confidence vote in Lok Sabha and said this has sent an important message to the world that India was ready to take its rightful place in the group of nations.
Numerical win for UPA: Advani
"There is something like numerical legitimatcy and moral legitimacy. The Government scored the numerical victory but lost on moral grounds," L K Advani said after Manmohan Singh government won the trust vote.

The Karnataka government will not auction the 409 acres of excess land acquired for Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) at Devanahalli but give it out on lease, Minister for Tourism and Infrastructure Development, G Janardhan Reddy said on Tuesday.
