Two acre land near compost yard in the Rahamat Nagar Layout that had been reserved for cremation of children, has been sold after converting it into 20 sites. Besides, the accounts of over 264 sites in all the 23 wards have been registered that have not paid the development fees.
Though the officials responsible for the case had been suspended, they have appeared on the same chairs again, which is now a history.
It is also learnt that the areas belonging to parks in over 36 places have been sold illegally. Moreover, buildings have been raised illegally in the sites beside the national highway, by producing false documents and distorting the original documents.
Public wish that the Principal Secretary to the Public Grievances Cell R Suresh, who is visiting the town today (Wednesday) will seriously consider the misappropriations.
