The meeting was held under the presidentship of Kalasa Gram Panchayat President Leelamma. ZP Member Ashalatha, Taluk Panchayat Member Manjappayya, K C Dharanendra, Mahabaleshwara Shastri, Narendra. The meeting decided to create an awareness among the people on the need for taluk status for Kalasa and also decided to fight for the cause unitedly keeping aside the political party.

“If we miss the opportunity to get the status of taluk, then we will miss for another 50 years,” he said.
Horanadu Sri Annapoorneshwari Temple’s G Bheemeshwara Joshi has been elected as the Honourary President, while MLA M P Kumarasway as the President of the Committee.
