BJP to enroll 2 lakh members in a year
DH News Service, Mangalore:

Bharathiya Janata Party aims at enrolling 2  lakh new members into the party in the present year, said the newly appointed BJP State Vice President Anwar Manippady.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said the membership drive has been continuing with full swing across the State.

He said he has started enrolling members in Mandya, Hassan and other areas, and getting good response.
It has been intended to enroll at least 5,000-10,000 members in each district. Around 200-300 members are joining BJP in Dakshina Kannada within a week, he informed.

He expressed confidence that the BJP would emerge victorious in all 28 Lok Sabha constituencies in the forthcoming General Elections. Several programmes have been announced for the welfare of minorities in the recently presented State budget.

People have understood that minorities were considered just as a vote bank by the past government, he added.
BJP district General Secretary Shreekar Prabhu, Minority Morcha leaders Mohammed Salim, Khamarul Bilburi were present in the press meet.
