Life Insurance Corporation of India has launched a ‘satellite office’ in Kankanady, the first in Mangalore on Monday with an aim to provide better access to its policy holders. Mayor Ganesh Hosabettu inaugurated the office while Educationalist Narendra L Nayak was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking at a press meet earlier in the day, Senior Divisional Manager of LIC (Udupi Division) Uma Rao said that the satellite offices are attached to the respective parent branches to give better services nearest to policy holders. Processing of new proposals and collection of renewal premium are the main functions of these offices.
The satellite office in Kankanady is the 4th in Udupi division and is attached to the Mangalore I branch. Two more offices will be opened shortly, in Byndoor and Sullia, she informed.
Marketing Manager K Gurumurthy, Chief Manager S Nagendra, Branch Manager V Venkatesh, Manager (P&Gs) Y Ashok and others were present at the press meet.
