“It is unfortunate that the Kannada Sahitya Parishat has to look to the Government to undertake any activity and has absolutely no financial independence,” said Dr Nallur, one of the aspirants for the post of the Kannada Sahitya Parishat President. He was addressing a press conference on Tuesday in the city.
The aspirant said that the firts priority for him as president of the Parishat would be ensure financial indenpendence for it. He also added that a permanent corpus fund would created for this.
The revision of the Kannada Sahitya Parishat dictionary would also being again. He also added that the interests of the Kannadigas.
Jaraganhalli Shivashankar also spoke on the occasion and said that all the members of the Parishat should support the Nallur’s stand for reservations in the for Kannadigas in the IT -BT sector.
Among the others who were present on the occasion included Gopal Gowda, Kalpamanjali, K N Srinivas, Hanumanth Rao, S N Amruth Kumar and others.
