Sweet Water Wall Road residents are bitter!

Bangalore, dhns: Residents of `Sweet Water Wall Road’ in Nagashettyhalli have charged that the borewell and Cauvery water supplied to their homes have recently got mixed up with drainage water. BWSSB was ignoring complaints to check individual drains, they charged.

A letter bearing the signature of ten residents, addressed to the BWSSB chairperson, copies of which were sent to the media and the head of Lokayukta, said residents had started falling sick in the area following the consumption of the water.

The problem was brought to the notice of the BWSSB by giving a sample of the water to the inspector at Sanjay Nagar on April 26. He visited the spot the following day but was unable to rectify the fault, the letter said.Subsequent visits too had not failed to redress their problem, the letter added appealing for urgent action to be taken.
