Desi Charitable Trust, Bangalore, involved in promotion of handloom, will host an exhibition cum sale of unique collection of handloom products in the City  from May 3 to 6. The trust will also launch its annual awards instituted for outstanding service in handloom sector, weavers’ bonus scheme, and ‘Kambli’ project.

The Desi expo will host Jagalur Khadi collections, accessories specially made out of woollen fabric (kambli), handicrafts and Dastakar’s handloom collections, apart from an attractive handloom collection of Desi’s naturally dyed cotton sarees and garments. The expo will be on between 10.30 am and 7 pm at Chitrakala Parishat.
Desi will also launch ‘Bonus scheme’ to encourage the weavers connected with its 11 member societies.
