Addressing a press conference here on Friday, the president of the association A S Chinnaswamy Raju said, “We are giving representation to the government but nothing is happening. The infrastructure development is affected due to the escalating prices of building materials like cement, steel and bitumen. Not only we but also the common man is suffering as he is finding it difficult to have his own dream house.”

Raju said that recently the BBMP had invited tenders for road laying work but no one is quoting rates because of difference in bitumen prices and other materials.
