Jeev, who was tied ninth overnight, is just one shot behind leaders Ryoken Kawagishi (65), Steven Conran (66) and Satoru Hirota (66) with a total of six-under-par 135. Jeev began with a birdie but a couple of bogeys on the third and sixth holes, which meant that he took the turn one-over. But he had a flawless back nine that included birdies on the 11th, 12th, 14th and 15th to round off a fine performance.
Indians miss cut
Indians cut a sorry figure at the Maekyung Open Golf Championship as all the four in the fray went over-par in the second round to miss the cut at the $600,000 event on Friday, adds PTI from Seoul. Rahil Gangjee's 75 was the best among the Indian quartet but that was not enough to make the cut. Gangjee missed the cut by a stroke after ending up with a two-day total of five-over-par 149.
The other three Indians - Digvijay Singh, Amandeep Johl and Gaganjeet Bhullar - also fell by the wayside after returning equally disappointing cards.
While Digvijay (77) was eight-over after two rounds, Johl (79) was a stroke behind. Bhullar brought up the rear with a total of 13-over-par 157 after a 79 in the second round.
At the top, Koreans Hwang in-Choon (67) and Jun Tae-Hyun (68) shared the lead with a total of six-under-par 138.
Korean quartet of Noh Seung-yul (70), Bae Sang-moon (68), Park Sung-kook (70) and Kang Ji-man (72) shared the third spot a stroke behind their compatriots.
