The loss is estimated at Rs 4 lakh. The boat belongs to certain Chandrashekar Naik. The mishap occurred when the boat was returning after fishing.

A bus belonging to P A College of Engineering turned turtle at Ermadi on the outskirts of the City on Tuesday. As many as 39 students have sustained minor injuries.

Police arrested 3 persons and seized 5 cattle, which were kept for slaughtering near Keri in Malar village in Kaup. Acting on a tip off, Kaup PSI Joy Anthony raided a house belonging to Naser Ahamed and seized meat of two cattle, two sickle, four knives, two fiber boxes. The arrested are Naseer Ahamed, Althaf and Ejaz Ahamed.
