Refund of application fee

Bangalore University brings to the notice of the concerned students that they may apply for refund of application fee, which they had remitted in connection with their appearing for PGCET scheduled during 2007-2008. This is consequent upon cancellation of conducting of PGCET during 2007.

The concerned students may contact Academic Section-IV, Bangalore University, Jnana Bharathi, Bangalore - 560056, with the prescribed refund bill obtained from Finance Branch of Bangalore University for attestation of the claim and for getting the refund from the Office of the Finance Officer, Bangalore University, Jnana Bharathi, Bangalore - 560056.

The candidates should apply for the refund with an identity for having applied for PGCET.

Astronomy and Astrophysics

MP Birla Institute of Fundamental Research, Bangalore will be conducting a Summer School in Astronomy and Astrophysics for the 8th, 9th and 10th class students, during the summer vacation of 2008. The duration of the course will be for two weeks from May 12, 2008 to May 24, 2008

Classes will be conducted during the week days (Monday to Saturday) from 11:00 am to 01:00 pm. Afternoons will be free for the students to spend time at the institute, if they so wish. The students will also be taken to the world famous Astronomical Observatory at Kavalur on a one day field trip (180 kms from Bangalore).

Applications on the prescribed form may be sent to reach the Director of the Institute on or before May 10, 2008. As the number of seats is limited, admissions will be made on a first-come-first-served basis.
