When Kumaraswamy spoke on behalf of Tiptur JD(S) candidate B Nanjamuri at Kalabhavan grounds a JD(S) worker complained that newspapers carried more news about Congress and BJP but very little news of JD(S).
In reply, Kumaraswamy suggested not to take the poll survey in newspapers seriously. “I became the chief minister without any experience by taking advantage of opportunistic politics, but now I have the experience to head the government,” he added.
Criticising the promise of Rs 2 kg rice in the Congress manifesto, he said that when the Congress was in power the rice released for the poor was stopped and single digit lottery and arrack shops were permitted in every nook and corner. Similarly, BJP has promised free power to farmers with pumps up to 10 HP, but fom where can they get the power to give it free, he asked.
Earlier JD(S) candidate B Nanjamuri said that he would extend the National Highway till the town and will get get water for Honnavalli and Kasaba Hobli from Hemavathi.
