The exhibition featured people with an eye and taste for art, displaying their creativity in a once in a lifetime opportunity. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan hosted this unique expo where 18 artists showcased over 50 paintings and sculptures.
Vani Manohar, founder of Aley said, “I have an eye for detail and this encouraged me to host various artistic platforms for artists. Eventually, I realised that talent lies even in rural areas and Aley began organising events like Aakriti for the rural and underprivileged artists.”Commenting on how she found these artists, she adds, “Many of them work in art galleries and slowly pick up their talent.”
The exhibition on the whole didn’t have a theme but each artist’s work ran on a unique theme. The list of featured artists included Muneya, Raghu Puttur, Veeresh, Krishna M V, Siddhu and Rangaswamy.
As Raghava pointed out artists have room to evolve and to give way to this room, Aley is planning to host workshops and camps for these evolving artists. “Passion for art has helped in the growth of this platform and in future we look forward to bigger and greater growth and exposure,” Vani said while speaking on future plans.
