No water supply

We, the residents of 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Cross on Munithayappa Layout are facing problems as we are not getting borewell or Corporation water. We were earlier given connections from a borewell. Since the past one year, water supply has been stopped, the reason stated was ‘pipes damaged’. The repair work has not been done to resolve the problem.

We were getting Corporation water on Tuesdays and Saturdays but now we are denied that as well. The valve has not been opened properly for the water to rush to these four crosses. Whenever we protest or talk to the officials concerned, they tell us that there is no pressure to pump water. The officials are not taking the trouble to plan and give us a separate valve connection. There has been no water supply for the past 20 days.

Financial help is required for Swamy (18) who has been diagonised with a rare blood disorder medically termed as Aplastic Anaemia.

He was admitted to Rajalakshmi Multispeciality Hospital where doctors have estimated the cost of his treatment to be between Rs 5-6 lakh.
