Freedom drumjam
Drumjam, a Bangalore-based organisation, is offering a community drum circle on August 15 in celebration of the 60th Indian Independence. Drum circles are a collaborative, self-organised musical event created on the spur of the moment with the aim of sharing community spirit and help in emotional healing.
The event is a circle with drums acting as a communication tool and a way of expressing freedom through rhythm and music amongst participants. And the best part of it is that absolutely no experience is required to be a part of it.
While drum circles are a fun-filled, energetic experience, they are also designed as hands-on tools to foster team-thinking and mutual understanding amongst the participants. This drum circle will be led by Roberto Narain, a drummer and percussionist, also known to be India's only certified drum circle facilitator.
This event is on at Lumbini Gardens, Nagawara Lake at 11am and will also launch Beat Root, an interactive percussion ensemble. Entry to event is free. For details cal: 98440-32233.
