On the occasion of their fourth birthday and fifth year in existence, Evam will present two special shows of ‘The odd couple’, a comedy about opposites. The play is in aid of Dare2Dream, a foundation for underprivileged children.
The play, written by Neil Simon, is about two divorced men — Felix and Oscar — who decide to share a New York apartment. Felix is neurotic, precise and fastidiously clean. Oscar, on the other hand, is the exact opposite — sloppy and casual. What happens when the two friends are forced to share an apartment, and their differing lifestyles inevitably lead to conflicts — a full laugh riot for the audiences.
The play, starring Karthik Srinivasan, Karthik Kumar, Anuradha Ananth, Kalyani Kumar, Jimmy, Navin Balachander, Shankar Ramachandran and Sunil Vishnu K, will be staged on December 25, at 4 pm and 7:30 pm at Chowdiah Memorial Hall. Tickets, priced at Rs 200, Rs 300, Rs 500 and Rs 1000, are available at Landmark, Crossword and Cafe Coffee Day (Sigma Mall and Fraser Town).
