As it was A second Saturday, State Government officials were spared the agony of having to brave the drizzle while rushing to work. However, students had no choice as schools remained open. Towards the evening, the weather was pleasant in most parts of the City.
According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall of 0.5 mm was recorded in the city, while 1.0 mm rain was recorded at HAL Airport.
Agro-meteorologist M B Raje Gowda said the sudden change in weather was mainly because of a system developed over Bay of Bengal, which has moved towards the north-western
direction.
He predicted that there would be cloudy weather till Sunday evening.
