He was speaking after performing the ground breaking ceremony for the road construction work at grama panchayat office in Lakkur village on Saturday.
“As a part of the developmental work the road stretch from Bus stand to gram panchayat office will be asphalted at a cost of Rs 7 lakh, the construction of drainage along car street and repair of the road as been allotted Rs 28 lakh, for the construction of cement roads in various parts of the village Rs 24.6 lakh as been allotted. All these works are scheduled to be completed by end of March”, he added.
“Similarly in Alambadi village under this programme Rs 35.82 lakh has been sanctioned for community forest, cement roads, construction of drainage among other works”, he said.
“Public toilets will be constructed at Lakkur, Alambadi and Sampagere villages which will be maintained in coordination with gram panchayats”, noted Narayanaswamy.
“In order to solve the drinking water crisis in the village an overhead tank will be constructed at a cost of Rs 8 lakh along with this a Rangamandir will also be constructed at a cost of Rs 5 lakh”, he added.
Gram panchayat president K Narayanappa, vice-president Radhamma, GP members Narayanaswamy, Babu, Lakshmi, Jayashri, Achchappa and others were present on the occasion.
