The State BJP on Saturday decided to launch a State-wide janandolana protesting the alleged Congress “control” over President’s rule in the State and a “conspiracy” by the Raj Bhavan to put off the elections scheduled to be held in April-May.
A decision to this effect was taken at a BJP core committee meeting held in Bangalore. All top leaders of State BJP, including former CM B S Yeddyurappa, Ananth Kumar, Jagadish Shettar, D H Shankar Murthy, Eshwarappa and others participated in the meeting.
Besides, the core committee also decided to protest against the Governor for not implementing schemes announced in budget 2007-08 by Yeddyurappa.
Yeddyurappa angry
Yeddyurappa expressed his ire over BJP leaders not being invited for the birth centenary celebrations of Kengal Hanumanthaiah.
Other former Chief Ministers have been invited, Yeddyurappa claimed.
