The deceased has been identified Gurunath (30). Gurunath hailed from Kollegal and was working as wager in the works taken up under Sujala Jalanayana Scheme here.  The passers by, who noticed the body in the hospital premises, informed the police.

Probationary ASP Thyagarajan, DySP T V Prabhakar, CPI Balaramegowda and PSI Siddaraju rushed to the spot and forensic expert Rajashekhar and the staff, Nagaraj with his sniffer dog examined the crime scene for further clues. The dog went till the bus station and returned. A case has been registered.
