Three students representing Chikkaballapur district won second places in various categories at the State-level karate competition organised by the Department of Public Instruction in Bangalore recently.

K M Ashwini a tenth standard student of Government Girls High school, Chintamani won silver medal in the 46 kg to 50 kg category. S A Sadik, a 9th standard student of Preeti Public School won silver medal in 40 kg category fight and S A Dadapeer a 6th standard student of the same school has won silver medal in 30 kg category fight.   
The students were felicitated for their achievements by Block Education Officer Raghunath Reddy, Physical Training Coordinator Nagaraj, Principal V Narayanaswamy, Vice-Principal  R Saraswati, Physical Trainer Lakshmipati, Karate trainer S Ashraf and C V Govindraju.
