Education UK Exhibition
DHNS

The Education UK Exhibition will travel to six cities of India and will have more than a hundred representatives of eighty-seven UK institutions participating. The exhibition begins in Delhi and will travel on to Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore (February 15 and 16, 2008)  and Pune. More than fourteen thousand students are expected to visit the exhibitions.

More than twenty-seven thousand Indian students are currently studying in the UK and this number is growing at the rate of over ten per cent each year.

Indian students are attracted to the one-year Master’s and three-year undergraduate course (except Scotland) in the UK. Shorter duration of courses, as compared to other countries means saving time and money. Students can also take advantage of schemes (such as the Fresh Talent and the International Graduates Scheme) that allow them to work after they have finished their study in the UK. International students get discounts for travel, entertainment and health care which is free or subsidised. All these factors make the UK a very attractive destination for students.

At the Exhibition students will get a chance to meet UK representatives from more than 55 institutions.  Students will be able to interact with the representatives at their respective stalls and attend seminars on various topics that will help them understand the admission procedure and requirements for studying in the UK.

The exhibition will cater to a range of subjects mainly at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Options are also available for students who are considering going to the UK to pursue a diploma level course.
There will also be career based seminars on different topics like Biotechnology, Business and Management, Postgraduate courses and Students Visas to name a few. Information about scholarships for study in the UK and details about how to apply for a student visa will also be available.

To register on-line and for more information about the participating institutions and seminars log on to www.educationuk-in.org.

British Council is the UK’s international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations. Their purpose is to build mutually beneficial relationships between people in the UK and other countries and increase appreciation of the UK’s creative ideas and achievements. The British Council is active in 109 countries and 227 towns and cities worldwide.
