Everyone should work hard for the progress of the exploited and the poor, said President’s medal awardee Superintendent of Police K Yellappa.

He was replying to the felicitation organised in his honour at the Home Guards office premises on Tuesday and said, the award was the result of  having responded to the voice of the exploited class since the last 30 years.

He said that it was everyone’s responsibility to protect the interest of the weaker section.

“My responsibilities have increased all the more after getting the President’s medal and I should discharge my duties with greater responsibility,” he said.
