The Karnataka state people's contention that there are many cases in the past of biased recruitment from Bihar is not smoke without fire. By viewing the past history of railways in the recruitment process it is true to some extent which cannot denied. For the people who are already habituating locally should not be made to run away when they can be accommodated as is the practice since a long time. The minister's justification in denying the locals in the guise of competition does not hold. Before the situation goes out of control the damage control exercise needs to be carried in the earnest.S.Sundaresh
