Easy win for Cottonians

Bishop Cottons scored a 29-run win over Florence Public School in the inter-school Twenty20 cricket tournament for Florence Cup on Wednesday.

Brief scores:

Bishop Cottons: 206/5 in 20 overs (Rishab 45, Karan 40) bt Florence Public School: 178/6 in 20 overs (Uttam Chand 43, Jayanth 35, Kaveen 31).

Little Flower Public School: 206/7 in 20 overs (Shreyas 82, Rajath 32, Sachin 32) bt Indus International School: 170/8 in 20 overs (Adhik 80).

BGC overcome MGC in thriller

Bangalore Golf Club (BGC) got the better of hosts Madras Gymkhana Club 9-1/2-8-1/2 in their annual inter-club tournament in Chennai over the weekend. The last time BGC edged out MGC at Chennai was around 19 years ago.

Results: BGC bt MGC 9-1/2-8-1/2.
Seniors: BGC bt MGC 6-1/2-5-1/2.

Bangalore Club ‘B’ scored a 2-0 win over Karnataka State Cricket Association in the Gopal N Chugh handicap billiards and snooker tournament conducted by Bowring Institute on Tuesday.

Results: Bangalore Club ‘B’ bt KSCA 2-0; KSBA ‘B’ bt Sadashivanagar Club 2-0; Catholic Club ‘B’ bt KSBA ‘E’ 2-0; Century Club ‘B’ bt KBA 2-1; Indiaranagar ‘B’ bt KSBA ‘D’ 2-0; ECA ‘B’ bt Koramangala Club 2-1; KSBA ‘C’ bt KGS ‘B’ 2-0; Vijayanagar Club bt Bowring Institute ‘B’ 2-1.

Vel Socials blank Bangalore Boys

Vel Socials got the better of Bangalore Boys 3-0 in the ‘C’ Division football league at the IISC ground on Wednesday. Selvan put Vel Socials ahead in the 27th minute while Stephen (36th) and Anil (65th) increased the tally for the winners.

Corporate TT  tournament
