Centre reviews State projects  
For the second time this month, the Centre held a meeting to review the ongoing projects of Karnataka and directed various Union ministries concerned to speed up clearances.
Red-corner notice likely in Hamza  
The City police might approach the appropriate authority for helping them in issuing an Interpol notice for Lashkar-e-Toiba chief Abu Hamza.
Dhonis contract issue for arbitration  
The Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL) has made public the cancellation of its contract with Indian crickets one-day captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, in December 2007. The matter has now been referred for arbitration.
Truckers stir to hit goods movement  
The state-wide indefinite strike call given by the Federation of Karnataka State Lorry Owners and Agents Association (FKSLOAA) and allied associations from neighbouring states will not only affect movement of goods but also cause monetary losses worth crores of rupees.
